Ken Scholes (born 1968) is an American science fiction and fantasy author based in Cornelius, Oregon, who has published five novels and more than fifty short stories translated into eight languages since 2000. He is best known for The Psalms of Isaak, a five-book epic fantasy beginning with Lamentation and continuing through Canticle, Antiphon, Requiem, and Hymn, set in a world rebuilding after the magical destruction of a great city, and blending ancient prophecy with steam-and-clockwork technology. He has also contributed to the shared-world Metatropolis anthology series and published several collections of short fiction, including Long Walks, Last Flights & Other Strange Journeys and Diving Mimes, Weeping Czars and Other Unusual Suspects.
