Kenneth C. Flint

Kenneth C. Flint (1947–2024) was an American fantasy novelist born in Omaha, Nebraska, who taught literature at the University of Nebraska Omaha and later chaired the English department at Plattsmouth High School before becoming a full-time writer in 1986. He specialized in fantasy grounded in Irish mythology, beginning with the Sidhe Legends trilogy — Riders of the Sidhe, Champions of the Sidhe, and Master of the Sidhe — and continuing through the Finn MacCumhal-focused Tales of the Fianna and the Children of Danu series. He also wrote Star Wars tie-in fiction, including the long-delayed Heart of the Jedi, drafted in the early 1990s and eventually published decades later. Flint sometimes wrote under the pseudonym Casey Flynn. His novels helped popularize Irish legendary material, including figures such as Lugh and Cúchulainn, for English-language fantasy readers.
