Kerry Nietz

Kerry Nietz is an American science fiction author born in 1966 in Ohio. He worked as a programmer at Microsoft until 1999, when he left to pursue writing full time. His debut novel, A Star Curiously Singing (2009), launched the DarkTrench Saga, continued with The Superlative Stream (2010) and Freeheads (2011), and later extended by Frayed (2016) and Fraught (2018) in the related DarkTrench Shadow sequence. He gained wider attention for Amish Vampires in Space (2013), a genre-blending novel that was featured on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and led to further titles including Amish Zombies from Space (2015). Nietz also writes the Rhats series, including Rhats Too! (2018) and Rhats Free! (2024).
