Kieran Larwood

Kieran Larwood is a British children's author born in Kenya. His debut, Freaks, grew out of a writing competition he won in 2011, and he found wider success with Podkin One-Ear, the first book in his Five Realms (also published as Longburrow) series about rabbit warrens threatened by the mechanical Gorm; the novel was shortlisted for the Waterstones Children's Book Prize and listed for the Blue Peter Book Award, while its French translation, La legende de Podkin le brave, won the Prix Sorcieres. He continued the series through The Gift of Dark Hollow, The Beasts of Grimheart, and the linked Uki novels, and has since launched the middle-grade Dungeon Runners series, including Ocean Chase and Carnival of the Lost.
