Kieran Shea is an American science fiction writer, born in 1965 in Manasquan, New Jersey. He is best known for the Koko Martstellar series, opening with his debut novel Koko Takes a Holiday and continuing through Koko the Mighty and Koko Uncaged, all published by Titan Books. He also wrote the stand-alone novel Off Rock. Before turning to novels, Shea published short fiction in venues including Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine, Thuglit, Dogmatika, and Crimefactory, and received two nominations for the storySouth Million Writers Award. His fiction favors fast, violent, blackly comic action carried by morally compromised protagonists operating in near-future criminal settings.
