Kirsty Logan

Kirsty Logan is a Scottish writer born in 1984 who lives in Glasgow. Her debut novel, The Gracekeepers (2015), a work of speculative fiction, won the Lambda Literary Award for Best LGBT Science Fiction/Fantasy/Horror in 2016. She followed it with the novel The Gloaming (2018) and the short story collection Things We Say in the Dark (2019). Logan's earlier debut collection, The Rental Heart and Other Fairytales (2014), won the Polari First Book Prize and the Scott Prize for Short Stories. She cites Emma Donoghue and Angela Carter as key influences, and her work, often centered on retold fairytales and queer experience, has been broadcast on BBC Radio 4.
