Kristen Callihan is an American author of paranormal and contemporary romance, based in Washington, D.C. A self-described lifelong daydreamer raised on 1980s pop culture and John Hughes films, she draws on her love of superheroes, action movies, and history in her writing. Her debut novel, Firelight, opens the Darkest London series, a gaslamp-fantasy romance sequence following a masked, fire-scarred hero and continuing through Moonglow, Winterblaze, Ember, and further installments. Callihan won the 2015 RITA Award for Best Paranormal Romance for Evernight, and has also received RT Reviewers' Choice recognition and further RITA nominations; her debut, Firelight, additionally earned RT Magazine's Seal of Excellence. She is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author.
