Kristen Painter

Kristen Painter is an American author and USA Today bestseller who worked as a college English instructor, restaurant maitre d', personal trainer, and jewelry seller before writing full time. She is best known for the Nocturne Falls series, set in a fictional tourist town where supernatural creatures live openly behind a Halloween-themed facade, and its Jayne Frost spin-off, following Jack Frost's daughter investigating supernatural disappearances. Her House of Comarre series is an urban fantasy following a world in which vampires purchase specially bred humans, called comarres, for their blood, beginning with Blood Rights and continuing through titles including House of the Rising Sun. She has also written the First Fangs Club and Shadowvale series, and her books have been published through Orbit Books as well as independently.
