Laura Ellen Anderson is a British author and illustrator represented by Pickled Ink. She is best known for the Amelia Fang series, a comic gothic-horror sequence for young readers following a vampire girl who prefers baking and kindness to the macabre customs of her family's home in Nocturnia, which she both writes and illustrates in a bold, cartoonish style. She followed it with the fantasy-adventure series Rainbow Grey, about a girl born without magical weather powers in a family that controls the skies. Beyond her own series, Anderson has illustrated books for other authors, including World Book Day titles, and created the Evil Emperor Penguin comic strip.
