Laura Sebastian

Laura Sebastian is an American author of young adult fantasy from Florida. She is best known for the Ash Princess trilogy (Ash Princess, Lady Smoke, Ember Queen), which follows an exiled princess plotting to reclaim the throne from the empire that conquered it, and for the companion Castles in Their Bones trilogy, centered on three sisters raised as spies and assassins. Sebastian has also written Half Sick of Shadows, a retelling of Tennyson's "The Lady of Shalott" that reimagines Elaine of Shalott as a seer entangled in the story of King Arthur's court, and the adult fantasy romance Lack and Luster. Her novels are known for court-intrigue plotting and morally compromised heroines navigating empire and rebellion.
