Lawrence C. Connolly

Lawrence C. Connolly (born 1951) is an American writer working across horror and dark fantasy fiction, film, and audio drama. His short fiction dates back decades, appearing in anthologies such as The Year's Best Horror Stories and the Kim Newman-edited Gaslight series, and his 2011 collection Voices: Tales of Horror was a Bram Stoker Award finalist. He is best known for The Veins Cycle, a science-fantasy trilogy comprising Veins, Vipers, and Vortex, which follows survivors of an alien invasion contending with a parasitic, telepathic species. Connolly also co-wrote a segment of the 2018 horror anthology film Nightmare Cinema, alongside filmmakers including Mick Garris and David Slade. Represented by the Virginia Kidd Literary Agency, he continues to move between prose, stage, screen, and music, describing his own work simply as fiction, media, and rock-n-roll.
