Leah Cutter is a professional independent author who has written that she wanted to be a writer from the age of eight, though she did not pursue it seriously until her mid-thirties. Publishing under the name Leah R. Cutter, she has built an unusually broad and prolific catalog spanning fantasy novel series such as The Shadow Wars and The Tanesh Empire, the mystery series The Shredded Veil Mysteries, and extensive short fiction, including contributions to the collaborative Uncollected Anthology project. Cutter describes herself as a 'writer/traveler' and has written about her reasons for choosing independent publishing over traditional houses. With more than 130 titles across twenty-five series, she is among the most prolific authors in independent speculative fiction, working across fantasy, mystery, and short-form storytelling.
