Lee Edward Födi

Lee Edward Födi is a Canadian children's author and illustrator from British Columbia, born in 1970. He is best known for the Chronicles of Kendra Kandlestar, a middle-grade fantasy series he both wrote and illustrated, following a young heroine from a hidden race of small folk called kobolds as she sets out on a series of quests, beginning with Kendra Kandlestar and the Box of Whispers. He later created the Zoone series, a portal fantasy centered on a magical train station that connects different worlds, beginning with The Secret of Zoone. Födi's work is distinguished by his dual role as author and illustrator, producing his own art for his fantasy worlds rather than working from a separate illustrator's interpretation.
