Leslie Gadallah

Leslie Gadallah (full name Leslie Anne Payne Gadallah), born October 8, 1939, in Alberta, is a Canadian science fiction author who has also worked as a chemist and technical editor. She is best known for the Empire of Kaz trilogy, following human protagonists allied with the feline-like Orioni against the galaxy-dominating Kazi empire, beginning with Cat's Pawn and continuing through Cat's Gambit and, after a long gap, Cat's Game. She also wrote the standalone novel The Loremasters, set in a besieged, energy-starved future Earth enclave, later reissued as The Legend of Sarah. Between 1989 and 1996 she published several short stories, mostly in the Canadian speculative fiction magazine On Spec.
