Liesel Schwarz

Liesel Schwarz is a British steampunk author born in South Africa in 1974, sometimes referred to as "the High Priestess of British Steampunk." She is best known for the Chronicles of Light and Shadow trilogy, comprising A Conspiracy of Alchemists, A Clockwork Heart, and Sky Pirates, an alternate-history adventure series set in an early twentieth-century world of airships, magic, and rival secret societies balancing science and sorcery. The trilogy follows an aviatrix navigating a world on the edge of supernatural war, blending romance, mechanical fantasy, and pulp-adventure pacing characteristic of steampunk's mix of Victorian-inflected technology and magic.
