Lisa Cassidy

Lisa Cassidy is an Australian epic fantasy author born in Melbourne and now based in Canberra, where she runs her own independent imprint, Tate House. She was a 2019 Self-Published Fantasy Blog-Off (SPFBO) finalist and a 2020 ACT Writers Fiction Award finalist. She is best known for A Tale of Stars and Shadow, her bestselling adult epic fantasy following warrior Talyn Dynan in the winged kingdom of Mithranar, and for the linked YA magic-academy series The Mage Chronicles and its sequel series Heir to the Darkmage, alongside the wyvern-focused Inkweaver Archive. Her fiction favors found family and character-driven political intrigue over grim stakes, and she donates a percentage of royalties to One Girl, an Australian charity supporting girls' education and rights.
