Livia Blackburne

Livia Blackburne is an author of young adult fantasy born in Taiwan. She debuted with Midnight Thief (2014), the first of a duology continuing in Daughter of Dusk, about a skilled thief recruited into a secret society of assassins in a kingdom on the edge of war; the audiobook was read by narrator Bianca Amato. She followed with the Rosemarked duology, Rosemarked and Umbertouched, set in a world where a plague marks its survivors, and the standalone Feather and Flame. Blackburne has also written for Disney's A Twisted Tale anthology series, contributing a story reimagining Snow White as a young woman who learns magic rather than fleeing into the forest. Her fiction often centers on young women navigating secret talents within rigid, dangerous social hierarchies.
