LJ Cohen

LJ Cohen is the pen name of Lisa Janice Cohen, an American author. She began with the fantasy sequence Changeling's Choice, starting with The Between (2012), before turning to science fiction with the young-adult space opera series Halcyone Space, beginning with Derelict (2014), in which a technically gifted young protagonist reactivates an ancient artificial intelligence aboard a station connected across a vast, wormhole-linked galaxy, setting off consequences that ripple across known space. The series continued through Ithaka Rising, Dreadnought and Shuttle, Parallax, and A Star in the Void. She has also edited speculative-fiction anthologies, including Pen-Ultimate, and published the standalone fantasy novel Future Tense.
