Louise Carey

Louise Carey (born 1992 in the UK) is a British science-fiction author, the daughter of novelist Mike Carey, with whom she co-wrote the YA graphic novel Confessions of a Blabbermouth early in her career. She also collaborated with her parents Mike and Linda Carey on the fantasy novels The Steel Seraglio and The House of War and Witness. Writing solo, she is known for Inscape and its sequel Downfall, cyberpunk-inflected novels following an operative of a powerful corporation navigating a surveillance-heavy future city, along with the related novella Outcast. Carey's fiction blends the genre sensibilities of her family's writing background with a focus on corporate control, surveillance, and identity in near-future settings.
