Luke Scull

Luke Scull is a British fantasy author from Bristol, best known for The Grim Company trilogy -- The Grim Company, Sword of the North, and Dead Man's Steel -- a grimdark epic fantasy series built around a morally ambiguous cast of mages, warriors, and revolutionaries fighting a tyrannical council. Beyond his own series, Scull has written tie-in fiction for Games Workshop's Warhammer Age of Sigmar setting, including Kingdom of Snakes, Boss of Bosses, and The Road to Helsmarch, and more recent work such as the novel Hostile. His fiction favors dense, fast-moving plotting, large ensemble casts, and a bleak, violence-forward take on high-fantasy tropes, placing him among the wave of British grimdark writers who emerged in the early 2010s.
