Lynn Kurland is an American author of fantasy and time-travel romance, publishing steadily since the mid-1990s. Her interconnected MacLeod, McKinnon, and de Piaget family saga began with Stardust of Yesterday in 1996 and has grown to more than twenty novels moving between medieval Scotland, medieval England, and the present day. Alongside it she writes the Nine Kingdoms series, an epic fantasy romance strand including Star of the Morning and The Mage's Daughter. A three-time RITA Award winner from Romance Writers of America, she won for best first book and best paranormal romance with Stardust of Yesterday and for best romance novella with To Kiss in Shadows. She trained as a classical musician before turning to writing, and keeps a disciplined schedule of one Nine Kingdoms novel each January and one time-travel or paranormal romance each spring.
