M. H. Ayinde

M. H. Ayinde, full name Modupe H. Ayinde, is a British epic fantasy author born and raised in London's East End, where she studied English Literature before working as a video games reviewer, magazine sub-editor, and television researcher. She won the 2021 Future Worlds Prize, an award supporting underrepresented voices in speculative fiction, and has published short fiction in FIYAH Literary Magazine and Beneath Ceaseless Skies. Her debut novel, A Song of Legends Lost, the opening volume of The Invoker trilogy, became a Sunday Times bestseller on release through Orbit UK and Saga Press and was shortlisted for the Ignyte, Locus, and British Fantasy Awards. Set in a war-torn empire where spirit-summoners channel ancestral warriors into battle, the series continues with A Dance of Burning Blades. Ayinde lives in North London with three generations of her family.
