Mac Walters

Mac Walters is a video game writer and creative director best known for his long tenure on BioWare's Mass Effect series. He joined BioWare in 2003, working on Jade Empire before becoming a senior writer on the original Mass Effect and lead writer on Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3, for which he earned a BAFTA Games Award nomination for his writing. He later served as creative director on Mass Effect: Andromeda, pushing the team toward a new region of the galaxy rather than a straightforward continuation of the original trilogy. To bridge the two eras of the series, Walters co-wrote the tie-in novel Mass Effect: Initiation with N. K. Jemisin, following an operative investigating alien technology ahead of the Andromeda Initiative's departure. He also briefly served as narrative director on Anthem.
