Mackenzi Lee

Mackenzi Lee, born Mackenzie Van Engelenhoven, is an American author of fiction and nonfiction for children and young adults, holding an MFA in writing for children and young adults from Simmons University. Her Montague Siblings quartet, set across eighteenth-century Europe, opens with The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue, a New York Times bestseller following a bisexual young nobleman on a scandalous grand tour, which won a Stonewall Book Award and the New England Book Award; she continued the series with The Lady's Guide to Petticoats and Piracy and The Nobleman's Guide to Scandal and Shipwrecks. Her standalone novel This Monstrous Thing, a Frankenstein retelling, won the Susan P. Bloom Children's Book Discovery Award. Lee, who is openly bisexual, has also written for Marvel Comics, including Loki: Where Mischief Lies.
