Margo Lanagan

Margo Lanagan is an Australian writer born in 1960 in Waratah, New South Wales. She is known for short fiction — collected in volumes such as Black Juice and White Time — and novels including Tender Morsels, which blend fairy-tale and folkloric material with young-adult and horror sensibilities. She also contributed to the YA science-fiction trilogy Zeroes. Her writing has earned four World Fantasy Awards -- two for the short-story collection Black Juice, one for the novel Tender Morsels, and one for a novella later expanded into The Brides of Rollrock Island -- plus two Michael L. Printz Honors for Black Juice and Tender Morsels. Before establishing herself in speculative fiction, she published teen-romance novels under several pseudonyms. Lanagan is regarded as one of Australia's most distinctive voices in literary dark fantasy and short fiction for young readers and adults alike.
