Marie Bilodeau

Marie Bilodeau is a Canadian fantasy and science fiction author now based in Ottawa. Born in Montreal, she grew up relocating frequently around eastern Ontario before attending Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, where she earned a degree in religion and culture with a minor in archaeology and led the campus science fiction and fantasy club. She is also a performer in Ottawa's oral storytelling scene and helped establish a local troupe of storytellers and spoken-word artists. Her published fiction includes the space-opera Destiny trilogy, the fantasy sequences Heirs of a Broken Land and Keepers of a Broken Land, the urban fantasy Guild of Shadows series, and contributions to Mercedes Lackey's shared Valdemar universe; she additionally writes lighter comic fantasy under the Top Drek banner.
