Marina J. Lostetter

Marina J. Lostetter is an American science-fiction and fantasy author from Oregon who began publishing short fiction in 2012. She is best known for the Noumenon trilogy, comprising Noumenon (2017), Noumenon Infinity (2018), and Noumenon Ultra (2020), a mosaic-structured space opera following a generation starship crewed by clones on a centuries-long mission of exploration. She also writes The Five Penalties fantasy series, beginning with The Helm of Midnight (2021) and continuing with The Cage of Dark Hours (2023) and The Teeth of Dawn (2025), alongside the standalone Activation Degradation (2021). Lostetter's fiction is known for combining ambitious, large-scale speculative premises with tightly structured, formally inventive narration.
