Mark Anthony (born 1966) is an American fantasy author based in Colorado. He began his career writing Forgotten Realms tie-in fiction, starting with Crypt of the Shadowking, before creating his own six-book series The Last Rune, which explores the tension between reason and imagination across parallel medieval and modern worlds. He also wrote a Dragonlance novel for the Tales of the Fifth Age line and was commissioned to write an unpublished Drizzt Do'Urden novel, The Shores of Dusk, which Wizards of the Coast ultimately declined to release. Writing under the pseudonym Galen Beckett, he later published the Magicians and Mrs. Quent trilogy, a fantasy series drawing on the tone of Jane Austen and Charlotte Bronte, and has continued with contemporary fantasy in the Lockwell Sisters series.
