Mark Cheverton

Mark Cheverton is an American author and engineer based in upstate New York, best known for creating the Gameknight999 series, an unofficial fan-fiction adaptation of the video game Minecraft that follows a boy who becomes trapped inside the game world. Written initially to work through a personal issue with his son, the series grew into six trilogies totaling eighteen novels published between 2014 and 2017, including Invasion of the Overworld, Battle for the Nether, and Confronting the Dragon; Battle for the Nether reached both the Publishers Weekly and New York Times children's series bestseller lists. Published in thirty-two countries and translated into twenty-two languages, Cheverton has continued the franchise across further series including the Mystery of Entity303 and Herobrine Reborn.
