Martin Powell

Martin Powell is an American writer of comics and prose known for adapting classic literature and pulp fiction for younger and general readers. He has written graphic-novel adaptations of works including The Wizard of Oz and Arthur Conan Doyle's The Hound of the Baskervilles, alongside original comics work. Powell has also written prose fiction connected to classic pulp-hero properties, including The Spider and The Avenger, and contributed to revival projects for the pulp hero Captain Hazzard alongside writers such as Ron Fortier, as well as the novel Citadel of Fear. His output spans comics scripting, prose adventure fiction, and literary adaptation for young readers.
