Martin Wilsey is an American science-fiction author born in Batavia, New York, who worked as a research scientist at a government-funded think tank before turning to writing full time. He published his debut novel, Still Falling, in 2015 and left his scientific career within three years to write fiction full time. His work centers on the bestselling Solstice 31 Saga, a series grounded in an emphasis on real scientific principles that Wilsey describes as putting "the science back into science fiction." Beyond his own novels, he founded and serves as CEO of Tannhauser Press, a publishing company built by and for writers, and he stays active in the wider genre-fiction community through podcasting, audio narration, and a weekly webcomic.
