Melinda M. Snodgrass

Melinda M. Snodgrass (born 1951) is an American writer who worked for three years as a practicing attorney before turning to television and fiction. She served as a story editor on Star Trek: The Next Generation during its second and third seasons, writing several of its scripts, and has long been a co-editor and frequent contributor to George R. R. Martin's Wild Cards shared-world series, writing for it since its first volume. Her other work includes the Circuit trilogy and The Imperials Saga, and, under the pen name Phillipa Bornikova, the Linnet Ellery legal-thriller fantasy series drawing on her legal background. She also wrote the Star Trek novel The Tears of the Singers. Snodgrass holds degrees in history and law from the University of New Mexico and lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she competes in dressage.
