Melissa Wright is an American author of young adult and gaslamp fantasy who publishes across a wide catalog of series in ebook, print, and audio editions. She is best known for The Frey Saga, a YA fantasy sequence beginning with Frey (2011) and continuing through books such as Rise of the Seven and Seven Ways to Kill a King, and for the paranormal Descendants series. Her Rivenwilde books and titles such as Between Ink and Shadows and Grave Magic move into gaslamp fantasy, a Victorian-inflected blend of magic and mystery.
