Menna van Praag

Menna van Praag is an English novelist who studied Modern History at Oxford University and lives in Cambridge, the city that grounds nearly all of her fiction. Her magical realism novels, including The House at the End of Hope Street, The Dress Shop of Dreams, The Witches of Cambridge, The Lost Art of Letter Writing, and The Patron Saint of Lost Souls, are set among Cambridge's colleges, cafes, and bookshops and blend everyday life with quiet enchantment. She later wrote the fantasy trilogy The Sisters Grimm, published between 2020 and 2024, before turning to cozy crime with The Biscuit Tin Murders. Her debut novella, Men, Money & Chocolate, an autobiographical tale about a waitress who dreams of becoming a writer, has been translated into twenty-six languages.
