Micaiah Johnson

Micaiah Johnson is an American science fiction author born in California, best known for her debut novel The Space Between Worlds (2020), a multiverse thriller following a woman who can travel between parallel Earths precisely because she is one of the rare versions of herself still alive in most of them. The novel won the Compton Crook Award and the Kitschies Golden Tentacle for best debut, and was a finalist for the Locus Award for Best First Novel. She followed it with Those Beyond the Wall, a sequel continuing the same multiverse setting from a different character's perspective. Johnson's fiction is notable for grounding high-concept multiverse science fiction in sharp explorations of class, race, and survival.
