Michael Clary

Michael Clary is an author of fantasy and horror fiction. His Camelot Wars series reworks Arthurian legend into a modern or dark-fantasy framework, with titles including Excalibur, The Lady of the Lake, and Camelot Rising drawing on the mythology of Arthur, Merlin, and the Round Table. Clary's Guardian Interviews series, beginning with The Regulators and The Guardian, takes a different approach, built around first-person interview-style narration of characters facing supernatural threats; the two lead titles were later collected together with a third story, Broken, in a single omnibus. His catalog also includes the standalone novels Scratch, Cursed, and Tribe. Clary's work consistently returns to reworking established mythology — whether Arthurian legend or original horror premises — through structurally inventive framing devices such as interview narration.
