Michael Mammay is an American author of military science fiction, drawing on his own extended career in the U.S. Army for his fiction. He is best known for the Planetside series, beginning with Planetside (2018), a military SF mystery about an officer investigating the disappearance of a politician's son on a distant war-zone planet, and continuing through Spaceside (2019) and Colonyside (2020). He also wrote the standalone novel Generation Ship (2023) and the comic military SF novel The Misfit Soldier (2022), followed by The Weight of Command (2022) and Blindside (2026). Mammay's fiction blends action, military procedure, and dry humor.
