Mindee Arnett

Mindee Arnett is an American author of young-adult fantasy and science fiction, born in 1986 in Kettering, Ohio. Her debut novel, The Nightmare Affair, launched the Arkwell Academy series in 2013, a fantasy sequence set at a boarding school for magical creatures where Merlin serves as the central antagonist. She followed it with the Avalon series, a young-adult science fiction duology about teenage smugglers on the run in deep space, beginning with Avalon and continuing with Polaris. Her more recent work includes the Rime Chronicles, opening with Onyx & Ivory, a fantasy series centered on a courier navigating a dangerous magical frontier. Arnett's fiction moves between school-set urban fantasy and space adventure, generally centering resourceful teenage protagonists who rely on found family and personal ingenuity.
