Mitchell Hogan

Mitchell Hogan is an Australian fantasy and science fiction author based in Sydney. After years of reading fantasy and playing games fed an ambition to write, he quit his job to complete his debut novel, A Crucible of Souls, the opening book of the Sorcery Ascendant Sequence; originally self-published, it won the 2013 Aurealis Award for Best Fantasy Novel and was later picked up by Harper Voyager Impulse. He continued the series with A Shattered Empire and Blood of Innocents, and has since written further fantasy sequences including The Tainted Cabal, The Infernal Guardian, and The Demonic Designs, alongside the earlier Necromancer's Key trilogy. He now writes full time and lives with his wife and two daughters.
