Nathan M. Farrugia

Nathan M. Farrugia is an Australian author of science-fiction thrillers, born in 1983 in Melbourne. He is best known for the Helix series, which follows genetically enhanced special-forces operatives caught up in a shadowy program of human augmentation, beginning with The Chimera Vector and continuing through The Seraphim Sequence and The Phoenix Variant. He also writes The Fifth Column series, which extends the same techno-thriller sensibility into a wider conspiracy involving covert operatives and corporate power. Farrugia's fiction blends espionage plotting with speculative biotechnology, generally centering morally compromised operatives navigating programs that have altered their own bodies and minds, and it has also appeared in serialized episodic form under the Helix title.
