Nicole Grotepas

Nicole Grotepas, who also publishes as N. A. Grotepas, is an American author of urban fantasy and space opera. Her work spans series such as Cin & Gui, part of her wider Delta Underground Operatives universe, and the Cross the Stars saga, which follows characters through interstellar conflict and colossal ancient machines in books like Shadow of the Colossus and Reign of the Colossus. She also writes the Holly Drake Jobs series and the school-set fantasy Lightbeard's School for the Broken. Grotepas favors genre-blending premises, magic-system rules colliding with faster-than-light travel, urban settings shading into the fantastic, over strict adherence to a single subgenre. Beyond fiction she also writes about spiritual and metaphysical practices, a thread that surfaces in some of her world-building.
