Nicole Kornher-Stace

Nicole Kornher-Stace is an American writer of speculative fiction for adult, young adult, and middle-grade readers, based in New Paltz, New York. Her novel Archivist Wasp (2015), a far-future postapocalyptic story about a ghost-hunting priestess, was a finalist for the Andre Norton Award; she continued the story in the sequel Latchkey. Her adult SFF thriller Firebreak (2021), often compared to Ready Player One, blends corporate dystopia with the intensity of a summer action movie. She has also written for younger readers, including the middle-grade adventure Jillian vs. Parasite Planet. Represented by Kate McKean at the Morhaim Literary Agency, she moves between age categories while returning to recurring themes of memory, survival, and found family.
