Nils Johnson-Shelton

Nils Johnson-Shelton is an American author born in San Francisco who writes young-adult science fiction and fantasy. With James Frey, he co-wrote Endgame: The Calling, the first novel in a trilogy about a secret, millennia-old competition between representatives of humanity's ancient bloodlines, which became a multimedia franchise spanning books, an alternate-reality game, and film development; he continued the series with Sky Key and Rules of the Game. Independently, he wrote the Otherworld Chronicles, a middle-grade fantasy trilogy beginning with The Invisible Tower, in which a boy is pulled into the world of Arthurian legend, continuing through The Seven Swords and The Dragon King. Johnson-Shelton's fiction consistently reworks mythic and legendary source material into fast-paced, high-concept young-adult adventure.
