Nir Yaniv (born 1972 in Jerusalem) is an Israeli writer, musician, and filmmaker working across science fiction. He was an early organizer of Israel's speculative-fiction community, founding the webzine of the Israeli Society for Science Fiction and Fantasy in 2000 and later editing the print magazine Chalomot Be'aspamia. With World Fantasy Award-winning author Lavie Tidhar he co-wrote the novel The Tel Aviv Dossier (2009) and the collection The Love Machine & Other Contraptions (2012). His short fiction has appeared in Weird Tales and Apex Magazine. Yaniv is also a musician, having released The Universe in a Pita, billed as the first Hebrew-language science-fiction-themed music album, and has directed short films since 2013.
