Paul Mannering

Paul Mannering is a New Zealand author from Kaikoura who writes across comic fantasy and horror. His Drakeforth trilogy, opening with Engines of Empathy (2014) and continuing through Pisces of Fate (2015) and Time of Breath (2019), blends absurdist humor with fantasy adventure. He also writes the Tankbread series, beginning with the novella Tankbread (2011) and continuing through Immortal (2013) and Dead! Dead! Dead! (2015), a zombie-apocalypse sequence, alongside the related Apocalypse Recon series, including Apocalypse Recon: Outbreak (2016). His other books include the collection Fat Zombie: Stories of Unlikely Survivors from the Apocalypse (2015), Tales from the Bell Club (2012), Black Snow (2016), and Heroes of Heresy (2021).
