Perry Nodelman

Perry Nodelman is a Canadian scholar and author known for his criticism of children's literature as well as fiction for young readers. An influential voice in children's literature studies, his commentary has appeared in venues such as the Children's Literature Association Quarterly, where he has written on how well genre criticism accounts for children's own responses as readers. With fellow Canadian novelist Carol Matas, he co-wrote the Minds quartet (Of Two Minds, More Minds, Out of Their Minds, A Meeting of Minds), time-travel adventures for young readers, and the middle-grade mystery series Ghosthunters, which includes The Hunt for the Haunted Elephant and The Curse of the Evening Eye. His writing bridges academic analysis and storytelling for children.
