Peter Liney

Peter Liney is a British author from Wiltshire, England, known for The Detainee series, a dystopian science-fiction sequence that begins with The Detainee (2013) and continues through Into the Fire and In Constant Fear. The trilogy follows elderly and disabled people abandoned on a garbage-strewn island after being deemed a drain on society, and was optioned for film adaptation following its debut. Liney also wrote the standalone novel Beauty, extending the same near-future setting.
