Peter Orullian

Peter Orullian is an American fantasy author and musician, born in 1969 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is best known for The Vault of Heaven, an epic fantasy series that began with The Unremembered (2011) and continued with Trial of Intentions, following characters caught up in a struggle against an imprisoned evil across a richly built secondary world. Orullian maintains a parallel career as a rock vocalist and lyricist, having fronted bands including Continuum, Inner Resonance, and Symphony North, and performing as a guest with Fifth Angel; this musical background feeds directly into novelizations he has written of progressive-metal concept albums, including The Astonishing with Dream Theater's John Petrucci. He also publishes short fiction across genre anthologies.
