Peter Valentine Timlett

Peter Valentine Timlett (1933-2013) was a British author of science fiction and fantasy from Lambeth, London, known for exploring occult and metaphysical themes centered on the lost civilization of Atlantis. His best-known work is a trilogy comprising The Seedbearers, The Power of the Serpent, and The Twilight of the Serpent, tracing Atlantis's fall and the founding of early British civilization by its survivors, later gathered as The Seedbearers Saga. He continued similar mythic and esoteric themes in later novels such as The Cauldron and Black Light and the story collection A Singing in the Wilderness, published in the early 2000s. Timlett's fiction reflects a broader current of British occult fantasy that treated Atlantean myth as a serious framework for exploring civilization and spirituality.
