R. F. Kuang

Rebecca F. Kuang, published as R. F. Kuang, is a Chinese-American novelist and short-story writer. She is known for her fantasy novels, which includes The Poppy War trilogy and her 2022 novel Babel, or the Necessity of Violence, which placed first on The New York Times Best Seller list and won the 2022 Nebula Award for Best Novel. As of June 2026 she is the inaugural Millard Distinguished Writer in Residence at the College of the Holy Cross.
